Late Bhupendra Singh honoured with First “Swarnim Dharohar Lata Samman”

RAIPUR,INDIA: Renowned playback and Ghazal singer, the late Bhupendra Singh, was posthumously honoured with the first Swarnim Dharohar Lata Samman by the Swarnim Dharohar Lata Foundation (SDLF) during the Lata Mahotsav at Sector-27, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar.

His wife, renowned Ghazal singer Mithali Singh, received the award from General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area, Padam Singh Shekhawat, during the concluding ceremony of the festival on Tuesday evening.

The event was graced by former Minister Satyanarayan Sharma, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and SDLF Patron Akhileshwar Singh, Inspector General of BSF Harilal, DIG (BSF) Sanjay Yadav and others.

The final day featured a performance by the famous youth band Drut, while students of Khairagarh Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya presented The Journey of Lata through dance.

The Lata Mahotsav, held from February 1 to 4, showcased performances by several renowned artists, celebrating the legacy of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.
