RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Nisha Yadav, a young mountaineer from Chhattisgarh, for hoisting the Indian tricolor atop Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak at 5,895 meters.
Calling her achievement a symbol of determination and resilience, he said, “Nisha’s success is an inspiration to countless young minds. She has shown that with perseverance and dedication, no summit is beyond reach.”
Expressing immense pride, CM Sai described her feat as a historic moment for the state. He recalled meeting Nisha in Bilaspur and recognizing her commitment to mountaineering, after which he extended financial support of ₹3.45 lakh to help her pursue her dream. “Today, as she proudly hoists the tricolor on Kilimanjaro, it reinforces the belief that with determination and the right support, any dream can be realized,” he said.
Nisha, who comes from a modest background, overcame financial challenges with sheer grit. Her father, an auto driver, supported her aspirations, but it was her unwavering passion that led her to international recognition.
CM Sai emphasized that Nisha’s achievement is a beacon of hope for youth, especially young girls, proving that perseverance can break barriers. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting sports and adventure, ensuring that daughters of Chhattisgarh receive all necessary assistance to excel on the global stage.
