RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has fulfilled his promise to state government employees by increasing their Dearness Allowance (DA) to 53% ahead of the Holi festival. The announcement was made by Cabinet Minister OP Chaudhary during the state budget presentation for 2025-26 in the Assembly on March 3. Following it, the Finance Department has officially issued the order for the DA hike.
As per the order, the DA for state government employees has been increased by 3%, raising it to 53% for those under the Seventh Pay Commission. Meanwhile, employees under the Sixth Pay Commission will see a 7% hike, bringing their DA to 246%. The increment will be effective from March 1, 2025, and will be reflected in the April salary payment.
