One day IP awareness workshop

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: PHDCCI, with support of the Office of Development Commissioner (MSME)  Ministry of MSME, Government of India, organized the, One Day IP Awareness Programme (National IP Outreach Mission in VIKSIT BHARAT) on 28th March 2025 at IGKV Director Research Services, IGKV, Krishak Nagar, Raipur (Chhattisgarh). The workshop was graced by the presence of   Dr. Hulas Pathak, Principal Investigator & CEO, RKVY RAFTAAR Agri-Business Incubator, IGKV; Dr. Amit Dubey, Scientist, Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology, Government of Chhattisgarh.

In his welcome address, Nikkhil Agrawal, Member PHDCCI Chhattisgarh State Chapter, expressed his delight in welcoming all participants to the One Day IP Awareness Programme  organized in collaboration with the MSME Ministry, Government of India. He highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights (IPR) in today’s modern world, emphasizing that in an era where knowledge and ideas drive industries, protecting intellectual property is more crucial than ever. He stated that patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets play a significant role in safeguarding innovations for businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, and researchers.

Dr. Hulas Pathak, Principal Investigator & CEO, RKVY RAFTAAR Agri-Business Incubator,   Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, emphasized that while knowledge should always be shared, entrepreneurs must take charge of implementing their ideas. He pointed out that agriculture offers vast opportunities for innovation, as there is a massive market for new agricultural products. He mentioned that Indira Gandhi Agricultural University conducts extensive research on agriculture and other products, presenting numerous possibilities for innovation in this sector.

Dr. Amit Dubey, Scientist at the Chhattisgarh Science & Technology Council, remarked that research alone is not enough; its implementation is equally important. He highlighted that India has presented over 400,000 research papers worldwide, the highest in the world. He explained that the real impact of research lies in its output. He drew attention to how Microsoft revolutionized the computer industry and how India is currently leading in AI applications. He encouraged innovators and entrepreneurs to handle their own packaging and branding, stating that if another entity manages these aspects, they will reap the benefits instead. Also explained in detail Ministry of MSME Government of India SCIPP Scheme.

Technical session; Ashish Verma, Assistant Manager, Agri Business Incubator, IGKV; Kuldeep Patel, Founder & CEO, FASAL BAZAR; Davesh Patel, Founder, One CUP; Nipur Verma, Founder, Rice Bowl; and Sajal Malhotra, Startup Founder, Atmeek Bharat, who shared their valuable insights.

Sumit Dubey, Resident Director, PHDCCI Chhattisgarh State Chapter, delivered the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants.
