JAGDALPUR,CG,INDIA: The rich story, culture, and traditions of the Bastar region will be narrated by renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas at the 'Bastar Pandum' celebration on April 3. The grand event aims to pave new paths for peace and cultural revival in the region.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai had described "Bastar Pandum 2025" as a cultural renaissance deeply connected to the soul of Bastar. He emphasized that it is more than just an event—it is a tribute to Bastar’s identity, faith, and aspirations. He highlighted how initiatives like "Bastar Ke Ram" spiritually connect Bastar’s land and showcase that true development thrives through culture and tradition. He expressed confidence that this festival would place Bastar on the global cultural map while preserving its tribal traditions for future generations.
The Dandakaranya region, which holds special significance in the Ramayana, is believed to be where Lord Ram spent part of his exile. Dr. Kumar Vishwas will present his special Ram Katha, "Ram of Bastar", focusing on Shri Ram’s presence in the Bastar region. His narration will not only echo through Bastar’s landscapes but also foster a sense of peace, unity, and cultural renaissance.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma emphasized that "Bastar Pandum" and "Ram of Bastar" serve as cultural bridges, linking Bastar with India and the world. He stressed that these events symbolize the state’s commitment to integrated development, reinforcing the belief that peace can be achieved through cultural preservation.
