Yoga is a means to balance soul: CM

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur on Thursday. Roopnarayan Sinha took the oath in the presence of the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.

In his address, Chief Minister Sai highlighted the importance of yoga as a means to balance the soul, mind, and body. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing yoga to the global stage, making it widely accepted as a path to better health. Congratulating Roopnarayan Sinha, Sai emphasized the crucial role he now holds in promoting yoga and ensuring the well-being of Chhattisgarh’s people. He praised Sinha’s dedication to public service and extensive experience in organizational leadership, stating that his contribution would be beneficial to the state.

Roopnarayan Sinha, in his speech, underscored that yoga is for everyone and serves to connect people. He expressed his commitment to using the Yoga Commission as a platform to unite individuals and promote physical and mental well-being.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Minister for Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Laxmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Tankram Verma, former Governor Ramesh Bais, MLAs Guru Khushwant Saheb, along with Secretary of the Social Welfare Department Bhuwnesh Yadav and Director Roktima Yadav.
