Nutrition Fortnight 2025 from April 8

MAHASAMUND,CG,INDIA: The "Nutrition Fortnight 2025" will be held across the entire district as part of the national "Nutrition Campaign" guided by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. The main goal is to improve health and nutrition habits at both the personal and community levels.

District Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh has instructed that various programs and activities should be carried out at the district, block, village, and local center levels in a coordinated way under the “Nutrition Pakhwada” (Fortnight). He encouraged all departments and institutions to treat this as a collective movement of the people.

This year, special focus will be on the first 1000 days of a child's life—a crucial period for health and development. The campaign will also promote awareness about healthy living, use of the "Nutrition Tracker" app, managing malnutrition through the C-MAM module, and preventing childhood obesity.

As in previous years, support will be sought from different departments, NGOs, women’s self-help groups, Mahila Mandals, Nehru Yuva Kendra, NCC, NSS, and both private and public sector partners. Public representatives, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and local bodies will also play a key role in making the campaign successful.
