National Pathology Day marks quiz event

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: A fun and educational pathology quiz was held at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, for second-year MBBS students. The event, organized by the Department of Pathology, was part of the lead-up to National Pathology Day celebrations. Its goal was to enhance students’ academic skills, promote teamwork, and spark interest in subjects like pathology.

The quiz had six rounds, including a rapid-fire segment. A total of six teams, each with three students, competed. In addition to the main competition, some questions were directed at students in the audience, and those who answered correctly were given prizes.

The quiz was hosted in an engaging and well-organized manner by Dr. Sudit Pal, Dr. Pushkar Chaudhary, Dr. Medha Verma, Dr. Sandhya Verma, and Dr. Sonal Chandrakar. Dr. Arvind Neral, Professor and Head of Department, Pathology, remarked that such academic competitions help students take more interest in the subject, making learning easier and more enjoyable.

Winning Teams are First Prize – Team Basophil: Aditya Rathore, Vishal Jangel, Jayant Khande, Second Prize – Team Lymphocyte: Atharva Gupta, Aashna Aggarwal, Arpita Aggarwal, and Third Prize – Team Monocyte: Anurag Patel, Dipesh Patel, Mehul Patel.

The winners received trophies and certificates. Other participating students included Amar Parganiha, Akshaveda Guha, Aanchal Bareth, Aarushi Padi, Om Singh Rajput, Prabhayuga Bhatia, Vishmbar Pandey, Aarushi Patel, and Ayush Gupta.
