RAIPUR,CG(INDIA): IIM Raipur recently celebrated its 14th Annual Convocation at its Nava Raipur campus, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of 595 students. Degrees were awarded to students from various programs including the regular MBA, Executive MBA, FPM, and EFPM. Among them, 216 students graduated from the E-MBA program, while 369 students completed the regular MBA, including 344 from the 2023–25 batch and 25 from the 2022–24 ISE batch. Nine doctoral degrees were also conferred—seven from the FPM and two from the EFPM programs.
The Chief Guest for the event, Prabha Narasimhan, MD & CEO of Colgate Palmolive India Ltd., inspired graduates to embrace leadership with responsibility and contribute meaningfully to society. The Chairperson of the Board of Governors, Puneet Dalmia, emphasized the importance of ethical leadership and innovation, while Director Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani highlighted the institute’s commitment to developing leaders through dedicated efforts and collaborative learning.
Over the past year, IIM Raipur has focused on strengthening entrepreneurship, executive education, and research. Initiatives like the Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with SIDBI and the MSME Ministry, have expanded student exposure to real-world challenges. The campus E-Cell hosted events like Pitch Perfect and E-Mela, promoting a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit.
The Executive Learning and Development (EL&D) wing saw remarkable growth with over 2,000 professionals trained across 45+ programs. Notable initiatives included a six-month course for Navy officers and the Chintan Shivir for Cabinet Ministers. Flagship programs such as the Senior and General Management Programs continue to thrive, with plans to introduce international leadership programs.
In the 2024–25 academic year, IIM Raipur signed seven major MoUs, including international partnerships with institutions in France and the UK. On the domestic front, collaborations with the District Project Livelihood College, SAIL, and the National Stock Exchange have opened avenues for training, research, and consultancy.
The institute has also taken socially relevant steps, including partnering with the Chhattisgarh Police to research and address human trafficking. Seven students were recognized with gold medals for outstanding academic performance, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
