JAGDALPUR,CG(INDIA): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday dedicated the Chief Engineer's Office of the Water Resources Department in Jagdalpur.
Previously, officials had to travel to Raipur for approvals, technical evaluations, and the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) related to water resource development. With the new Chief Engineer’s Office now operational in Bastar's divisional headquarters, such work can be conducted locally, saving time and improving efficiency in executing various water-related projects.
The office has been launched under the special initiative of Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap. Provision has already been made in the state budget for appointing officers and staff at different levels to ensure the office functions smoothly. Currently, it is being run from the upper floor of the Indravati Project Mandal Bhavan, where the office of the Superintending Engineer is also located.
