RAIPUR,CG(INDIA): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in a program held at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar, Raipur, to mark the assumption of office by Sanjay Srivastava as the new Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited.

In his address, Chief Minister Sai recalled how former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee paved the way for the formation of Chhattisgarh as a separate state. He noted that under the leadership of Dr. Raman Singh, following the 2003 mandate, the state witnessed significant development, particularly through the implementation of an efficient Public Distribution System (PDS), which is now considered one of the best in the country. He praised Sanjay Srivastava’s past contributions in various leadership roles, including his tenure with Raipur Development Authority and Municipal Corporation, expressing confidence in his ability to uphold the responsibilities of the Civil Supplies Corporation, which serves nearly 75% of the state's population.

On Wednesday, at Udyog Bhawan in Telibandha, Rajiv Aggarwal assumed charge as the new Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC). Chief Minister Sai expressed optimism that Aggarwal’s extensive administrative experience would help enhance the industrial landscape of the state. He mentioned that the state has received investment proposals amounting to ₹4.5 lakh crore, and due to the availability of natural resources, electricity, and water, Chhattisgarh is poised for industrial growth.

The Chief Minister announced the development of four Smart Industrial Parks with a total investment of ₹445 crore, including ₹30 crore for a Readymade Garment Park and ₹40 crore for a Furniture Cluster in Nawa Raipur.
