RAIPUR,CG(INDIA): The Chhattisgarh government has introduced a new online system for temporary electricity connections, bringing major relief to the business community. Now, entrepreneurs can apply for power connections through the State Single Window portal from the comfort of their homes, without dealing with complex paperwork or visiting multiple offices.
The digital process is designed to speed up approvals, reduce costs, and improve transparency. Applicants can also track the status of their requests in real time. The system automatically checks all regulatory requirements, reducing errors and simplifying future audits.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the government’s goal is to make Chhattisgarh a business-friendly state. He highlighted that the move is a key step towards improving the ease of doing business, which will help attract more investment and create employment opportunities.
Previously, businesses—especially small and medium enterprises—faced delays and administrative hurdles in getting temporary electricity. Now, with just a few clicks, the process is completed within days. Entrepreneurs have welcomed the change. Harish Patel, a young businessman from Raipur, shared that what earlier took weeks is now done in just a few days, calling the move a big relief.
The digital records have also made the audit process smoother for both officials and business owners. The government plans to bring more services online in the future, aiming for a transparent and efficient system.
