RAIPUR,CG(INDIA): On the occasion of International Earth Day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai urged the people of Chhattisgarh to actively take part in protecting the environment and maintaining ecological balance.
He emphasized that Chhattisgarh is rich in natural diversity, and the state's culture, livelihood, and way of life are closely tied to nature. Reflecting this connection, the state government is giving special importance to activities like tree plantation, water conservation, rejuvenation of rivers and streams, community forest management, and promoting environmentally responsible industrial development.
The Chief Minister stated that environmental protection has been made a key part of various government schemes to ensure that economic development goes hand-in-hand with the preservation of nature. Local communities are being involved in these initiatives so that both their quality of life and the state's natural resources can improve together.
He also made an appeal to the people of the state to plant at least one tree, take care of it, and commit to keeping their surroundings clean. He encouraged mindful use of water and energy resources and called on everyone to help reduce pollution by using renewable sources of energy wherever possible.
