CG NEWS: Two-Day International Conference on “Smart Technologies and Transformation for Sustainable Development”at Kalinga University

Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh: The Department of Computer Science and the Faculty of Information Technology at Kalinga University organized a two-day international conference on “Smart Technologies and Transformation for Sustainable Development” on October 30 - 31.

The Chief Guests of the event were Dr. O. P. Vyas, Director of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur, and Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology.Eminent professors and researchers from prestigious universities across India and abroad shared their views and research insights during the conference.

The event started by lighting the lamp and garlanding the Statue of the Goddess of Wisdom Maa Saraswati.  

The inauguration ceremony was also graced by the presence of Kalinga University'sVice-ChancellorDr. R. Shridhar, Director General Dr. Byju John, Registrar Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Head of Department Dr. O. P. Dewanganand other distinguished guests.

During the technical sessions, keynote speakers - Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Dr. Kranti Kumar Dewangan, and Dr. Shahnawaz Ansari - emphasized the importance of adopting new energy sources and innovative strategies in the present era. They stated that it is crucial to empower students with the knowledge and skills to effectively use emerging technologies and promote innovation.

Several senior professors and research scholars from various universities participated in the different technical sessions. A total of 768 participants registered for the conference, and selected participants presented their research papers.

The program was compered by Mr. Ritesh Tiwari (BCS AIMLCS, 5th semester) and Ms. Jasleen Kaur (BTCS, 5th semester) from the Department of Computer Science.

The technical sessions were coordinated by Assistant Professors Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Yadav, Ms. Akanksha Soy, and Mr. Shivam Ojha.

At the closing ceremony, Dr. O. P. Dewangan, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Information Technology, delivered the vote of thanks.

The event saw active participation from faculty members including Dr. Anupa Sinha, Dr. Ayaz Ahmed Afridi, Debarghya Biswas, Ms. Archana Mishra, Ms. Anjali Goswami, Ms. Anjali Kadao, Moti Ranjan Tandi, Ms. Ashu Nayak, Ms. Roohee Khan, Prateek Thakur, Praveen Singh, Ms. Neha Shukla, Ms. Pinkey Bajaj, Sanjay Behera, Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Yadav, Ms. Aakansha Soy, Shivam Ojha and all students of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology.
