CG NEWS: Ishwar Sahu bows head at entry of Assembly

Raipur, CG: Saja MLA Ishwar Sahu had scripted history by defeating seven-time MLA and senior most minister Ravindra Choubey of Congress in the recent polls.

On Wednesday he reached the State Assembly premises with his supporters. He bowed his head on the entrance gate the assembly building as he started to enter it.

Ishwar Sahu, a laborer, lost his son in the riots. BJP made him the candidate and defeated Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey of Bhupesh government by 5,196 votes.

Interacting with media, he said, “We will fulfill whatever is the need of our region, we will fulfill whatever with full responsibility. The work will be done with honesty. Our priority is that we will implement the schemes of the Central Government which were put on hold by the Congress government as soon as possible.”

“We will implement the scheme of giving free rice to the poor which was put on hold. There are many pending works which will be completed. We will proceed with development work as much as possible,” he added.

He further said that those who were weakening the law and order with the power of their position, will be taken for task.
