GARIABAND,CG: During cross firing by Naxalites while searching in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday night, a CRPF jawan was shot and the bullet was stuck in his neck. The CRPF team took the injured soldier to Gariaband District Hospital. After primary treatment, he has been referred to Raipur.
The police said a soldier has been injured in Shivnarayanpur firing in Sunabeda Sanctuary of Komna police station area. The CRPF team was conducting a search operation when the incident occurred. The intensive search operation is being conducted. The firing is going on intermittently. However, till now the police have not confirmed that the bullet was caused by cross firing.
