RAIPUR,INDIA: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma visited a private hospital to meet the injured soldiers from the recent Bijapur encounter. He inquired about their condition and praised their courage and dedication in the fight against Naxalism.
The encounter, which took place on February 9 in the National Park area of Bijapur, resulted in the elimination of 31 Naxalites and the recovery of several weapons. However, two brave soldiers were martyred, and five others sustained injuries during the operation.
During his visit, Sharma assured the soldiers that the government is committed to providing them with the best possible medical care. He directed the hospital administration and doctors to ensure proper treatment and emphasized that the state government stands firmly with them.
Calling the encounter one of the biggest operations against Naxalism, Sharma highlighted that the security forces had struck a significant blow in an area previously considered a Naxalite stronghold. He reaffirmed the government's resolve to eradicate Naxalism under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, promising continuous efforts to maintain peace and security in the state.
