Chhattisgarh’s four PHCs, two CHCs get NQASC

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday has awarded National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate (NQASC) to four Primary Health Centres and two Community Health Centres of Chhattisgarh.

 

The team of experts from the Union Health Ministry after examining the quality of services available to patients in these hospitals in April, May and June, an official communication said.

 

Udaipur Community Health Centre in Surguja district and Bagbahara Community Health Centre in Mahasamund, Jarve Primary Health Centre in Janjgir-Champa district, Kumhrawand Primary Health Centre in Bastar, Batikela Primary Health Centre in Surguja and Bagodar Primary Health Centre in Kanker have been awarded the certificate by the Government of India.

 

The report states that Udaipur CHC scored 87 per cent and Bagbahra CHC 85 per cent marks in quality of services provided by the hospital to the patients. On the other hand, Jarve PHC got 82 percent, Bagodar PHC 80 percent, Batikela PHC 76 percent and Kumhrawand PHC got 75 percent marks in the evaluation.

 

The services and satisfaction level of the hospital are tested on various parameters by the team of experts before awarding the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. These include parameters such as services available, patients' rights, inputs, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management and outcomes. Only hospitals that meet the stringent standards are issued quality certificates by the Union Health Ministry.
