RAIPUR:
The meeting of the Chhattisgarh cabinet sub-committee constituted to review the policy of paddy procurement and custom milling in the upcoming Kharif marketing year 2023-2024 will be held on July 18. It will be held from 1.30 pm in the assembly hall of Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha.
Apart from ministers, senior officers of Agriculture, Finance, Revenue, Cooperative, Food Department as well as Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing, CHiPS, Apex Bank and NIC will attend the meeting of the cabinet sub-committee, an official communication said.
The state government has set an estimated target of purchasing 125 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from the registered farmers of the state in the upcoming Kharif marketing year 2023-24.
There has been a continuous increase in the number and area of farmers in the last four years. Agricultural production has also increased rapidly. The necessary preparations are being made to provide convenience to the farmers and to provide necessary facilities for the sale of paddy.
