RAIPUR:
Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed minister Mohan Markam at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
Markam solemnly took the oath in Hindi, pledging his commitment to his position.
Following the oath-taking, Governor Harichandan and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel extended their congratulations to Markam and presented him with a bouquet of flowers.
Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant, cabinet ministers Tamradhwaj Sahu, Ravindra Choubey, Mohammad Akbar, Anila Bhediya, Kawasi Lakhma, Jai Singh Agarwal, Shiv Kumar Dahariya, Guru Rudra Kumar as well as parliamentary secretaries, MLAs, Chairman of Municipal Corporation, and other public representatives.
The proceedings of the ceremony were conducted under the guidance of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain. Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo, Governor's Secretary Amrit Kumar Khalkho, and other senior administrative officials were also present.
