Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday asked officials to take care of Padma Vibhushan Pandvani singer Teejan Bai, after her ailing health condition came to his notice.

News regarding the health condition of Pandavani singer spread across social media platforms on Friday. Taking immediate action, the Chief Minister directed a team of doctors to promptly visit Teejan Bai’s residence in Ganiyari village, located in the Durg district.

Durg Chief Health and Medical Officer Dr JP Meshram said that Block Medical Officer Patan Dr Ashish Sharma had sent a medical team. Dr Bhuvneshwar Kathotia and nursing staff Gulshan Khalkho visited Teejan Bai’s residence and conducted a thorough health examination.

Dr Kathotia conducted a comprehensive health check-up, gathered information about her ongoing treatment and medications, and provided suitable advice.

Considering her family's request, she will continue to receive healthcare at home for the time being. She is undergoing treatment for several pre-existing conditions including coronary artery disease, hypertension, diabetes, stroke with residual paralysis, and other ailments. She is diligently following the prescribed medications as advised by her consulting physician.
