RAIPUR: In Chhattisgarh, online mapping work of Gaushalas, Gauthans and Kanji Houses of cities and villages around various roads of the state is under process.
The special monitoring is being done at accident sites in coordination with other departments including urban administration and panchayat department. After the Google map of Gaushalas, Kanji House and Gauthan is prepared, it will be easy to search Google maps to keep the animals coming on the road here.
The Chief Secretary on Monday held a detailed review on modes of prevention of road accidents due to animals on road at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur.
The officials of the Urban Administration and Panchayat Department said that the work of mapping the identified Gaushalas, Gauthan and Kanji House on Google Map has been completed. It can be found by searching in Google Map, the nearest Kanji-House and Kanji House. The location of the cowshed is known, the work of layering is being completed.
Along with the coordinates of 51 points identified by the National Highways Authority, mapping work has also been done in villages and urban bodies. It would help to safely transport to different locations.
Officials of the National Highways Authority said that 102 employees have been deployed on duty in about 51 places on various selected roads and complete information about these locations has been made available for village-wise mapping.
Officials said that information about animals being on the road can be given by the common people on the helpline number 1033. SOP has also been issued regarding highway patrolling.
