Raipur: Expeditiously take up the work to provide pure and safe drinking water to the people of Chhattisgarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started an important campaign to provide tap water to every household through Jal Jeevan Mission, said Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Arun Sao on Tuesday.
He was holding review of the departmental work in detail at “Neer Bhawan” in Raipur.
To reach the target, all officers should work in a planned manner. He also stressed on quickly filling the vacant posts in the department.
Sao reviewed the progress of all departmental schemes district wise. He gave instructions to run a special campaign for the maintenance and improvement of hand pumps installed by the department.
He called for continuous monitoring of the drinking water schemes. He asked to encourage officers doing good work and take action against officers who are indifferent towards work.
