Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankram Verma inaugurated the four-day state level football competition organized by Jai Johar Club Kharora on Thursday.
Minister said, “We should never be afraid in life. Sports teaches us that defeat is also necessary in life, defeat reveals our shortcomings. Just as there is victory and defeat in sports, similarly there is success and failure in life. It is important to take inspiration from sports. Sports teaches discipline. Discipline develops team spirit. Sports improves physical and mental health. Life is like a game, it is important to play it.”
He talked about developing the area as well as presenting a proposal to establish sports grounds with all facilities and open gyms.
Dharsiwa MLA Padma Anuj Sharma said that organizing the state level football sports competition is a commendable work for the area. The sports event proves that the youth of the area are in the right direction.
