Mahtari Vandan Yojana registration begins

* Eligible women will be paid Rs 1000 per month through DBT.

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Government of Chhattisgarh to implement one of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee, has begun the registration process of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana from Monday.

The scheme will be implemented from March 1, 2024.

Online forms and offline registration has started in all the districts of the state. Workshops for filling the forms are also being organized at the district level, so that women do not face any problem in filling the forms. The last date for receipt of applications is February 20. To avail the benefits of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, eligible women can apply through an online portal https://www.mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in and mobile app.

Regarding the implementation of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, it has been clarified by the Women and Child Development Department that if a woman does not have the documents available regarding her being married, then she can submit her self-declaration affidavit. If the female beneficiary does not have a mobile number, then instead the beneficiary can compulsorily submit a photocopy of the ration card along with the application form.

To avail the benefits of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, marriage certificate, ration card, Aadhar card, voter identity card, residence proof, certificate issued by Gram Panchayat or Ward Councilor has been included for the married woman.

Local residents and married women of Chhattisgarh state will be eligible. The age of the married woman should not be less than 21 years on 1st January of the calendar year of application i.e. the year in which the application is being made. Widow, divorced, abandoned women will also be eligible for the scheme. Under the scheme, Rs 1,000 per month will be paid to the eligible woman through DBT. Women receiving pension from social assistance programmes, various pension schemes, if the pension amount is less than Rs 1000, the remaining difference will be paid.
