Kanker, Chhattisgarh: Police on Monday have succeeded in arresting two dreaded Naxalites. A reward of Rs 5 lakh each has been declared on both, said District SP Divyang Patel.
Patel said that both the Maoists have been arrested from Mujalgondi village near the district headquarters. Both the Naxalites were also involved in the murder of a city policeman and an army jawan in the past. The police are currently strictly interrogating both of them.
He said that during the search the police arrested both the rewarded Naxalites. Weapons have also been recovered from the arrested Naxalites. A 12 bore gun, pistol and rounds have also been recovered from them.
