CM to dedicate ‘Takshashila’ reading zone-cum-library today

* 750-seater fully equipped library will operate 24 hours

Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will dedicate the newly constructed Smart Reading Zone-cum-Library ‘Takshashila’ in Moti Bagh March 06 at 6.00 pm.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao. Ministers Kedar Kashyap, Brijmohan Agarwal, O.P. Chaudhary and MP Sunil Soni will be present as special guests.

MLA Rajesh Munat, Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Anuj Sharma and Mayor Aijaz Dhebar and others will be present.

Raipur city will get its second largest library of the state with a 750-seater two-storey building constructed at a cost of Rs 8.05 crore. Before the dedication ceremony already 550 youth have confirmed their membership by paying the prescribed fee. The library will facilitate the youth preparing for competitive exams. Only authorized members will be given entry into the state-of-the-art library through a biometric system. Currently 10,000 books are available. A digital reading zone has also been created in the library. Members will get lift facility and free Wi-Fi. There will be a parking facility for 800 vehicles and a food zone has also been created in the parking area. Apart from students, disabled people will also get better facilities in the library.

The Chief Minister will discuss with the youth and permanent membership cards will be distributed to the members.

Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh on Tuesday inspected the facility. He said that books will be purchased based on the demand of the members. Necessary instructions have been issued to the officials. The students will be able to study in a better environment on the rooftop also. Tables and chairs have been installed.
