There is unparalleled joy in serving patients: CM

Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India: There is unparalleled joy in serving patients, which has been the cornerstone of my political journey, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said on Friday.

He was addressing the event where he was presented with the key of an ambulance by the Chhattisgarh Cement Transport Welfare Association at his residence on the occasion of the late Dilip Singh Judev's birth anniversary.

He adds, “I learned humility from the late Shri Judev. His deep commitment to service continues to inspire me.”

Recounting his efforts in securing medical assistance for the needy, Sai stated, “In just one year of my term as a state minister, I appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Rs 12 crores from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to facilitate patient treatments. During Dr Raman Singh's tenure, I relentlessly pursued medical aid for patients, a mission that brought immense satisfaction.”

Highlighting Judev's pivotal role in shaping his political career he said, “Judev has been my political guru. His guidance in politics, humility, and worker relations has been invaluable. I express my gratitude to the association for their contribution towards patient welfare.”

Sai shared the story of a truck driver afflicted with a tumor post-accident. “Upon learning of his plight, I ensured his treatment at Delhi AIIMS, where the doctors removed his 16 kg tumor, saying that this is a first-of-its-kind case”, he said.

Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma commended the noble initiative, mentioning the importance of collective efforts in serving the underprivileged.
