Raipur,Chhattisgarh,INDIA: For the convenience of businessmen of Chhattisgarh, OTS applications are being taken even on the government holidays of March 30th and 31st.
The state government has extended the last date for applying under the Chhattisgarh Arrears Tax Interest and Penalty Settlement Act (OTS) for lump sum settlement of old VAT dues till March 31, 2024.
The last 3 days of the month of March (29, 30 and 31 March) are consecutive government holidays, so that many traders/taxpayers are not deprived of applying, in view of this, the State Tax Commissioner has issued an order on special duties of the employees in all the divisional circle offices. It has been formally set up to receive OTS applications, so that no defaulter is deprived of the benefits of the government scheme.
