CG NEWS: Free medical facilities for officers, employees

Raipur,Chhattisgarh,INDIA: For the Lok Sabha General Election - 2024, free medical facilities will be provided to the officers and employees employed in election work in all the government hospitals of Chhattisgarh.

The order issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, if necessary health facilities are not available in the government hospitals of the state or in case of emergency, officers and employees will be able to get their treatment in three private hospitals in the capital Raipur and two outside the state.

The aim of successfully conducting the Chhattisgarh Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, emergency duties have been imposed on officers and employees of various departments on the instructions of the Commission. Free medical facilities will be provided in all the government hospitals of the state for the officers and employees assigned for election work.

Hospitals in the state and outside the state have also been identified to provide free medical facilities in case of non-availability of necessary facilities in government hospitals or in case of emergency. Within the state, treatment facilities will be available at Shri Balaji Hospital Mova in the capital Raipur, Shri Narayana Hospital Devendra Nagar Raipur and Ramakrishna Care Hospital Pachpedi Naka Raipur. Similarly, outside the state, treatment facilities will be available at Care Hospital in Hyderabad and Apollo Hospital in Visakhapatnam.

The order further states that in case the treatment facilities for government officers-employees and non-government officers-employees and security forces and staff involved in election work are not available in the government hospitals of the district, the State Nodal Agency through the District Administration, the Prime Minister Referrals will be made to these hospitals by Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, Directorate of Health Services.
