Government promoting culture of innovation, entrepreneurship

* Chhattisgarh's First 5-Day “Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp” begins

RAIPUR,CG: Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman AICTE, Government of India on Monday underlined the Central government's commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among India's youth.

Emphasising on the success of previous IDE boot camps,he highlighted the unique initiative spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stressed the importance of fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

He was virtually inaugurating the 5-day "Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp'' hosted at Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur campus. The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC), are jointly organising the event.

The Chief Guest, Prof M. K. Verma, Vice-Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai, stated that genius is not hindered by location or circumstances, and many talented individuals originate from rural areas in India. Rural individuals bring forth innovation and abilities by naturally contemplating the fundamental issues in their lives. The study challenge and topic should be transformed into business, focusing on addressing the essential demands of our daily lives.

Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Kant Pandey, the Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, Raipur, expressed that everyone in attendance in this bootcamp has embarked on their initial but firm step towards innovation and entrepreneurship. The four essential roles for innovation and entrepreneurship are being the visionary, the innovator, the executor, and the decision-maker. He informed that Amity has become a global benchmark in education, research and innovation and this Bootcamp is adding a new chapter in the growth of the city of Raipur and Chhattisgarh state in particular. 

Vikas Verma, the Managing Editor of AICTE and Nodal Centre Head, emphasized that the participants of the boot camp had exceptional qualities. He described them as thinkers and innovators, highlighting the importance of such individuals in our society. The purpose of the bootcamp is to cultivate and advance the cognitive abilities of young individuals. The program aims to establish a connection between their ideas and their practical implementation in the business world. During the five days of boot camp, keep your umbrella closed to fully immerse yourself in knowledge.

Professor Sumita Dave, Deputy Pro. Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, Raipur, was accompanied by master trainers Ms. Gauri Gopinath and Ajay Jakl on the stage. Prof. Roshan Mathew, Vice President of IIC at Amity University, Raipur, delivered the opening address, while Prof. Satyendra Patnaik, Dean of CRC & Innovation at Amity University, Raipur, concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks.
