NTPC Lara educate labourers on Safety on Labour Day

RAIGARH,CG: As a responsible corporate and to sensitize the contractual labourers for building safety culture for a safe workplace “Mass Safety Pep Talk" organised at Lara on International Labour Day, 1st May 2024. Akhilesh Singh, HOP, Lara addressed the labourers and underlined their contribution for development of an organisation, state, and country at large. Shri Singh highlighted the importance of skilled manpower for the growth of that industry and growth of our nation. 

On this occasion 10 labourers were honoured by Shri Akhilesh Singh, HOP (Lara) for their good safety behaviour. Shri Suraj Meshram, Regional ESIC officer, Raigarh talked about various schemes and benefits provided by ESIC for the welfare of labour. For building safety culture among labourers, regular safety peptalks are organised before and after completion of work. Labourers are advised not to commence work if they feel any security concern associated with it. After complete satisfaction of the concerned worker towards personal safety works can be resumed. Various initiatives have been taken by NTPC Lara to provide a safe workplace.

On this occasion Rajeev Ranjan, GM (O&M), Ravi Shankar, GM (Project), HoDs, employees and a large number of contractual labourers were present.
