RAIPUR,CG: Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra on Tuesday said advertising agencies will conduct structural investigation of hoardings and submit the report to the Municipal Corporation within a week.
He said advertising agencies should ensure that an accident like Mumbai does not occur in Raipur.
He was holding a meeting of advertising agencies and Municipal Corporation officials regarding the safe installation of hoardings in the city.
He asked all the advertising agencies to check the structure of the hoardings installed by them and submit their report to the Municipal Corporation.
At Mumbai, 14 people have died after a promotional hoarding collapsed during the storm in Mumbai. 74 people have been injured.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner asked to ensure participation of all advertising agencies to prevent such incidents in Raipur. Raipur has around 90 advertisers.
Effective implementation of advertisement policy in Raipur Municipal Corporation area was also discussed.
