RO, ARO, officials undergo training for counting

RAIPUR,CG: Returning Officer (RO), Deputy District Election Officer (DEO), Assistant ARO, AARO, EVM incharge, Polling Booth Nodal, Training in-charge, Security Nodal, Technical Team, Master Trainer, DIO and DPRO and other officers underwent training at New Circuit House Auditorium on Monday.

The counting of votes will be held on June 4.

Raipur Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Gaurav Singh addressing trainees said the efficiency with which the voting work was done in the Lok Sabha elections is historical. Positive response has been received regarding the facilities provided to the polling personnel like trolley and in the polling station.

The Collector said that now the counting of votes has to take place, this is the last and most important part of the election. Discharge it seriously. The most important thing is to behave with restraint during the counting of votes. Provide clear information to the agents of political parties.

He said that signatures must be taken on their tabulation chart after every round. The work of counting votes is sensitive, hence execute this work very carefully. Trainers from State Election Commission, Geeta Diwan, Vinay Aggarwal, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Chhattisgarh, Rupesh Kumar Verma, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Chhattisgarh, Vinod Aglave, System Manager, Chief Electoral Officer Chhattisgarh explained the process of counting in detail.

A model of the counting hall was also made at the training venue, in which the postal ballot counting table, EVM counting table and VVPAT counting booth were shown.
