RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) has nominated Suresh Raina, a former all-rounder of Team India and who was a part of the team's 2011 ODI World Cup victory as brand ambassador for the Cricket Premier League.
The Cricket Premier League will be organized in Chhattisgarh on the lines of IPL on June 7. Suresh Raina will be the brand ambassador of Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League.
Suresh Raina, who reached Raipur, met Deputy CM Arun Sao. The officials of Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh were also present.
Interacting with the media, Suresh Raina said, “Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League is about to start. I have come to Raipur for preparations for the cricket league. Efforts will be made to promote cricket in Chhattisgarh through this league.”
The tournament will be organized from June 7 to 16. All matches will be played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Nava Raipur. The tournament is being organized with the permission of BCCI.
