No need to worry, says CM to students of Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday assured the students of Chhattisgarh stranded in violence-hit Kyrgyzstan over the phone.

He said there is no need to worry, the Government of India is in constant touch with the Government of Kyrgyzstan.

He has asked the students to take care of themselves and contact the Chhattisgarh government if needed. He said that Chhattisgarh and the Government of India stand with them in the difficult situation.

Sai talked to student Vijay, resident of Masturi in Bilaspur district and student Shivani, resident of Janjgir district, to inquire about their well-being.

“All of you do not worry, Chhattisgarh government is standing with you at every step,” he assured.

Students informed about there is a tense atmosphere. The students said that they are not allowed to leave the hostel. They are being provided food and water there itself. The students said they have booked return tickets.

On which the Chief Minister said, “If there is any problem then all of you must contact the Chhattisgarh government. The state government, with the cooperation of the Government of India, will ensure the safe return of all of you to your homeland.”

The controversy has started in Kyrgyzstan after the incident of molestation of Egyptian girl students. Due to which the local students became violent and are especially committing violence against the students of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Due to it there is a situation of tension. About 15,000 students from India, including about 70 students from Chhattisgarh, are studying medical and other subjects in Kyrgyzstan.
