NTPC LARA: With onset of monsoon and under celebration of “Van mahoschav” Anil Kumar, Executive Director, NTPC Lara started the tree plantation campaign in Ghughuwa village. This initiative shows NTPC Lara's commitment towards environmental protection. This step of NTPC Lara is an important step towards enriching the ecosystem of the area and ensuring a green future. NTPC Lara has set a target of planting 11000 saplings in Ghughuwa village through the State Forest Development Corporation. Apart from this, this year NTPC Lara has also set a target of planting 11000 saplings in Semibhawar village, 6500 in Jhilgitar village and 1800 saplings in Basanpali Primary School.
The ceremony started with tree plantation by Anil Kumar, Executive Director, (NTPC Lara) by planting a tree along with Ghughuwa village Sarpanch Smt. Saraswati Dansena. Divisional Manager (Raigarh) of Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation Sunil Kumar, Sarpanch of Semibhawar village Narsingh Chauhan, Additional General Manager of NTPC Lara Shri Joysurya Roy Choudhary (Technical Services), Additional General Manager Sudhir Dahiya (Environment Management) were also present there and the event was a success in their presence.
As NTPC Lara adopts this green approach, all of us can also develop a rich environment that enhances our quality of life and preserves our natural heritage for the years to come.
