State Level Admission Festival: CM visits his primary school

JASHPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday sharing his primary education said to keep the school clean, we used to bring cow dung from home and apply it. The entire village was concerned about the maintenance of the school. The villagers worked together to repair the roof.

He was addressing the state level school entrance festival, at village Bagiya, where Sai himself had studied till class fifth.

He adds, there was not even a sack, we used to bring sacks from home. There were no concrete roads One had to go to Seramongra to write 5th Board. It feels good now that so many facilities are available for education.

He said since education is the basic mantra of development, are continuously working for its betterment.

The Chief Minister pledged Divyang Model Residential School in Jashpur, convert the schools of village Bagiya and Bandarchua into model schools. He also announced a higher secondary school in Farsabahar.

He said education is not just about getting a degree or a job. It changes lives. By looking at the standard of living of educated and uneducated people, you can also imagine the importance of education in life.

He said that the government has taken forward the development of education through the new education policy. The board exams will now be conducted twice a year. It will give students a better opportunity to improve their efficiency. To develop the understanding and knowledge of the students, their local languages have been included in the books. To improve the quality of education, 211 PMShree schools are being run in the state. By organizing summer camps, work is being done to enhance and advance the talent of the students.

He said PTM will be organized in all the schools on August 6th.  Sai urged people to celebrate their birthday and other special days at school with children.

He appreciated Padmashree Jageshwar Yadav for his tireless service for the special backward tribe Pahari Korwa and Birhor tribe community.

The Chief Minister’s wife Kaushalya Sai, Finance Minister O P Chaudhary, MP Radheshyam Rathiya, Jashpur MLA Raimuni Bhagat, and MLA Pathalgaon Gomti Sai also addressed the gathering.

The Chief Minister also distributed bicycles to high school girls. He also honored meritorious children, parents and teachers. He planted a Rudraksha sapling in honor of his mother under the 'Ek Tree Maa Ke Naam' campaign. He also urged the people to plant a tree in the name of their mother on the request of the Prime Minister.
