CG NEWS: Bijapur District Hospital to be spruced up: Minister

BIJAPUR: Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal on Monday pledged two dialysis machines along with 10 beds. He further added that a new building with all facilities for the district hospital and a new setup would soon be approved for Bijapur district.

He was on visit to Bijapur and inspected Bijapur District Hospital. He took status of various wards and met the patients and their families and reviewed the health facilities.

He sought details of the reasons behind the death of two girl students. He asked officials to ensure that such incidents do not recur in future. Jaiswal asked doctors to compulsorily test the patients coming to the district hospital for malaria and also to test the parents of malaria positive children.

He met all the patients one by one and took information regarding the treatment. In view of the shortage of beds in the ICU, he immediately approved two dialysis machines along with 10 beds and said that for better health facilities, a new building with all facilities for the district hospital and a new setup would soon be approved.

He was accompanied by former minister Mahesh Gagda, Additional Chief Secretary Health Manoj Kumar Pingua, Health Director Rituraj Raghuvanshi, Mission Director National Health Mission Jagdish Sonkar and other officials.
