RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday said the biggest challenge before the BJP-government in the state was to maintain the trust that people had shown.
He said that the government has succeeded in restoring the trust in just 100-days by fulfilling the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state manifesto.
Sai was highlighting the achievements and initiatives of his government during the ‘Sushasan Samvad’ program held at Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi on the completion of six months of the Chhattisgarh government.
He emphasized his government’s commitment to good governance and transparency. He discussed all the efforts taken to implement effective policies for the welfare and development of the state.
The chief minister said that the state government has plugged all the leakages in the system that led to corruption and loss of revenue to the state under the previous government. The public works are being done with great ease now. He said that this proves that “Both the intention and policy of our government are right.”
On Naxalism and said, “Our government has made special efforts to strengthen security in Naxal-affected areas. We have set up security camps and accelerated development work in these areas. This has given us great success not only in the direction of security but also in the direction of development.”
“We have made the administrative processes simple and transparent so that the public can get solutions to their problems quickly and effectively,” he adds.
Sai counted the work undertaken after taking oath of office which includes sanctioning 18 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, two-years pending bonus of farmers, procurement of paddy at 21 quintals per acre and others.
Sai said that his government is fully committed to the development of the state and works of public interest. He said, “We are continuously making efforts towards making Chhattisgarh a model state.”
