NTPC Lara distributes Umbrella to school children

NTPC LARA: Under the CSR-CD, NTPC Lara distributed umbrellas to the school children of Govt Upper Primary and Middle school in nearby village Bodajhariya. In a function Anil Kumar, Executive Director, NTPC Lara and Smt Anuradha Sharma, President, Prerita Mahila Samiti inaugurated the programme and distributed umbrellas to students of Govt. Primary and Middle school, Kandagarh. Total 106 students got umbrellas under this initiative of NTPC Lara. Addressing the gathering, Anil Kumar, advised all children to be dedicated towards their study. With hard work and perseverance, they can achieve their desired goal in life. At this tender age they should aim high and put all effort into achieving it. The children of surrounding villages are very fortunate that every day they see some development in front of them, with such things there must be some short of curiosity in their mind, how such a big plant can be built with the combination of man and machine. Innovative ideas develop in such a type of everyday changing surroundings. Smt Anuradha Sharma, President, Prerita Mahila Samiti advised all children to learn with fun. Anil Kumar and Smt Anuradha Sharma and other dignitaries visited the classrooms and witnessed the facilities provided to them by NTPC Lara.

Under CSR-CD activities NTPC Lara is working on education, health, drinking water and infrastructure development. During the rainy season, due to incessant rain children face difficulties to reach school. Understanding this problem NTPC Lara came out to solve these difficulties by providing umbrellas to them.

On this occasion Rajeev Rajan, GM (O&M) Ravi Shankar, GM (Project), Jakir Khan, AGM (HR), Rajendra Behera, DGM (HR), senior members of Prerita Mahila Samiti, village Sarapanch smt Sulochana Pradhan, Gaurang Sao, BDC, Ravi Sahu, Member School Samiti, Bodhram Pradhan, Panch (Bodajhariya) Neelkanth Pradhan, Kandagarh and Dewal Sidar were present.
