Students of Kalinga University Celebrate Rakshabandhan with sisters from Brahmakumari Ashram

RAIPUR: In a heartwarming celebration of the festival of Rakshabandhan, Sisters from the Brahmakumari Ashram visited Kalinga University, to tie Rakshasutra on the wrists of both national and international students, including female students and staff. 

Sisters Rashmi Didi, Soumya Didi and Rinku Didi  led the Rakshabandhan ceremony, tying the sacred thread on the students’ hands, symbolizing the bond of protection and love. The ceremony was not only a celebration of cultural tradition but also an opportunity to impart wisdom and positivity to the students. They performed tilak, tied rakhi, and offered traditional sweets to the students and staff present during the event.

During the program, the Sisters gave an insightful presentation on the importance of positive thinking. They emphasized living a life guided by holistic and positive thoughts, encouraging students to adopt these principles in their daily lives. The event concluded with the administration of an oath, where students pledged to embrace a positive and holistic approach to life.

Mr. Sajal, a student of B.Com. Banking and Finance, 3rd semester, served as the Master of Ceremony. He warmly welcomed the Brahmakumari Sisters and shared the significance of the Rakshabandhan festival through two stories from the Holy Scriptures. His efforts ensured the event flowed smoothly, contributing to the joyous atmosphere of the festival. The celebration was well-received by the students, who participated enthusiastically, enjoying the cultural exchange and the spirit of Rakshabandhan.

Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar of Kalinga University, expressed his gratitude for the Sisters' visit and the positive message they shared. He highlighted the importance of such events in fostering a sense of community and positivity among students.

The Rakshabandhan celebration at Kalinga University was a memorable occasion, leaving students with a sense of unity, cultural enrichment, and a renewed commitment to positive thinking.

Kalidoss; Ms. Sneha Mahto; Kunal, and others.
