CM launches online systems to improve efficiency

RAIPUR,CG: In a significant move to enhance e-governance and ensure transparency in Chhattisgarh's government operations, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday launched three new online portals: the e-Office System, Chief Minister Office (CMO) Online Portal, and Swagatam Portal. The initiatives aim to improve efficiency, reduce corruption, and bring good governance to the forefront.

At the inauguration held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Chief Minister Sai emphasized the state government’s commitment to utilizing Information Technology (IT) across various departments. “The launch of the e-Office System and Swagatam Portal is a crucial step towards realizing our vision of good governance. Our government is dedicated to promoting IT to ensure zero tolerance for corruption and enhance transparency in all government work,” said Sai.

The e-Office System, which has been initially implemented in the General Administration Department, will gradually be extended to all departments. The system will digitalize office documents, significantly reducing the time needed to transfer documents between offices and eliminating opportunities for document manipulation. The digitization process also ensures that documents remain secure and easily trackable, minimizing the risk of loss or delay.

The Swagatam Portal is designed to streamline the entry process for visitors to the Ministry, including those wishing to meet the Chief Minister, ministers, and other officials. This portal will not only make visitor management more efficient but will also enhance the security of the Ministry premises by maintaining detailed visitor records.

Additionally, the Chief Minister launched the CMO Online Portal, which will provide the public with easy access to information about government schemes, public welfare initiatives, and the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh. Citizens can now learn about the state’s art, culture, history, and the unique characteristics of its districts with just a click.

The launch event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, MLA Motilal Sahu, and other dignitaries. The introduction of these online systems marks a milestone in the state's journey towards digital governance and transparency.
