RAIPUR,CG: Ju-jitsu players Sania Parveen and Shaba Parveen met with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan to share their recent achievements. The athletes excelled in the first West Zone Ju-Jitsu Championship 2024, held at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, bringing home a total of four medals: gold, silver, and bronze.
Sania Parveen earned a silver medal in the Ju-Jitsu Contact event for the 21-year age group and a bronze medal in the Ju-Jitsu Fighting event. Shaba Parveen won a silver medal in the Ju-Jitsu Contact event for the Under-16 age group and a gold medal in the Ju-Jitsu Fighting event for the Under-18 age group.
The Chief Minister congratulated Sania and Shaba on their impressive accomplishments and wished them continued success in their future endeavours. Notably, Shaba Parveen secured her silver medal on her birthday, and went on to win the gold medal the following day in the Under-18 competition. Their father, Latif Mohammad, was also present.
