RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal on Wednesday said super-specialty healthcare facilities are being developed across the state, starting with the introduction of liver and kidney transplant services at the DKS Hospital in the capital city Raipur.
He stated that a state-of-the-art ICU has already been established at DKS, and Rs 6 crore has been approved for the procurement of liver and kidney transplant equipment.
He further mentioned that the facility would benefit not only the patients from the capital but also those from neighbouring states. Additionally, he disclosed plans to establish advanced model hospitals in six districts of the state, which will offer super-specialty services.
Jaiswal indicated that there are considerations to set up an IVF Centre at Ambedkar Hospital. The pending DPR (Detailed Project Report) for the initiative is expected to be completed soon.
The Minister pledged that a new virtual machine for post-mortem procedures is being installed at Ambedkar Hospital. The machine will feature the most advanced technology in the country, significantly expediting the process of post-mortem.
Jaiswal also emphasized that the number of new services in government hospitals will be increased. The expansion will include telemedicine services, the use of advanced medical equipment, and the availability of specialist doctors, ensuring that all citizens of the state receive cutting-edge and high-quality healthcare services.
