RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The violent activities of Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district continue to escalate. In a brutal incident, BJP leader Mando Ram was killed in Somanpalli village under the Farsegarh police station area.
The Naxalites accused him of being an informer for the police and targeted him for his political association.
According to reports, the crime occurred late at night when Naxalites stormed into Mando Ram's residence. They killed him, leaving behind pamphlets claiming responsibility for the attack. The National Park Area Committee of the Naxalites stated that the murder was a response to his alleged collaboration with the BJP and law enforcement authorities.
This is not an isolated incident. Recently, Naxalites have also killed two former sarpanches and an Anganwadi worker in the district, demonstrating a pattern of targeting individuals they accuse of being government or police informers.
The police have recovered the pamphlet from the crime scene and initiated an investigation. Authorities have condemned the act and are working to ensure justice is served. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges posed by Naxal violence in the region and its impact on local communities.
