RAIPUR: The health of Congress MLA Devendra Yadav, currently lodged in Raipur Central Jail, suddenly deteriorated, prompting his admission to DKS Hospital at Ghadi Chowk for treatment on Thursday.
According to Bhilai Municipal Corporation Mayor Neeraj Pal, Yadav had been experiencing issues related to stomach muscles for several days. Initially, he was sent to Mekahara Hospital for medical evaluation. Following a series of tests, doctors diagnosed him with a hernia, necessitating surgery. Consequently, he was transferred to Dau Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Hospital for further treatment.
Devendra Yadav, an MLA from Congress, was arrested on August 17 from his Bhilai residence in connection with the Balodabazar violence case. Since then, his judicial remand has been repeatedly extended, and he remains in custody at Raipur Central Jail.
