RAIPUR,INDIA: In a significant announcement at a program organized by the Sahu Samaj in Rajim, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai declared a grant of Rs 5 crore for the installation of a grand bronze statue of Bhaktin Mata Rajim. The event, held in the land renowned for its historical and religious significance, marked the occasion of Rajim Bhaktin Mata Jayanti.
Rajim, often referred to as the Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh, is known for its sacred confluence of the Sondhur, Parry, and Mahanadi rivers, which is also recognized as Triveni Sangam. The Mahanadi river flowing through the area is reverently called Papamochini, akin to the Ganga in other parts of India. The city holds profound importance for Shaiva and Vaishnav traditions, with the establishment of Kuleshwar Mahadev by Lord Shri Ram and his worship alongside Mother Sita. This holy connection adds to the cultural and spiritual significance of the region.
In his address, Chief Minister Sai expressed pride in the opportunity to gather in Rajim, a place where Lord Shri Ram once laid His feet along with Mother Sita. He acknowledged the rich legacy of Rajim Bhaktin Mata, noting the sacrifices and penance that she symbolizes. “The birth anniversary of Bhaktin Mata promotes social solidarity and inspires us to follow her ideals, strengthening both the state and the country,” said the Chief Minister.
To honor the legacy of Bhaktin Mata, the Chief Minister announced the allocation of Rs 5 crore for the creation of a grand bronze statue of the revered figure in Rajim. The gesture is aimed at commemorating her enduring contribution to the region and inspiring future generations.
The Chief Minister also praised the Sahu community for their progressive spirit, excelling in both agriculture and business. He highlighted their enduring cultural heritage and emphasized the importance of societal unity, which in turn strengthens the state and the country.
The Chief Minister pointed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, which embodies the ideals of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas," calling him a source of pride for the Sahu community.
Addressing the cultural aspect of the region, the Chief Minister said “Our government has restored the dignity of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa,” he said, announcing that this year’s Rajim Kumbh would be organized on a grand scale, just like the successful event held last year, which saw participation from saints across the country.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao spoke about the pride he felt witnessing the Sahu community's success abroad, especially in the United States. “The children of the Sahu community are making their mark in foreign countries with hard work and determination,” he said. Union Minister of State, Tokhan Sahu, expressed pride in the issuance of a postage stamp in honor of Mata Karma, who dedicated her life to the development of society, encouraging everyone to imbibe her thoughts and ideals.
