RAIPUR,INDIA: Amity Business School, Amity University Chhattisgarh, in collaboration with SBI and UNICEF, successfully organized a Two-Day International Conference on Innovations and Challenges in Finance and Banking in the Era of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence on February 6th and 7th, 2025. The conference served as a platform for finance professionals, academicians, and industry leaders to exchange ideas on emerging trends, challenges, and innovations in the financial sector.
The inaugural session featured distinguished guests, including CA Karan Gupta, Managing Partner at Karan Gupta & Co., who emphasized the role of artificial intelligence in finance. Special guest Ashok Parashar, AGM (SME), SBI, highlighted the significance of data in banking and its often-overlooked importance. Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Baral, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management, and former HOD, Department of Commerce, IGNTU, also shared valuable insights. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Kant Pandey discussed financial fraud, the role of data, and the transformative power of AI. He highlighted how past financial frauds could have been mitigated with the help of AI-driven digitalization and stated that AI is both a curse and a blessing, depending on how data is utilized., Prof. (Dr.) Sourabh Chaturvedi, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) Sumita Dave, Dy Pro-Vice Chancellor, emphasized the relevance and significance of the conference theme.
The two-day conference featured four technical sessions conducted in both online and offline modes, chaired by experts such as Dr. Amit Manglani, Dr. Pooja Pandey, CA Sharad Kakani, and CMA (Dr.) Shilpi Gupta. The organizing committee was led by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Asthana (Convener), Dr. Gazala Yasmin Ashraf (Co-Convener), and Dr. Shilpa Pandey (Organizing Secretary). The conference received an overwhelming response, with over 200 research abstracts submitted from across the globe and 100+ research presentations delivered in hybrid mode.
The valedictory session was graced by Mrs. Aditi Jain and CA Kritika Nathani, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants in making the event a success. The conference concluded with valuable discussions on the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence in the financial sector, leaving the attendees with enriched knowledge and innovative perspectives on the future of finance and banking.
