Satsang, meditation help awaken mind: CM

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday emphasized that satsang (spiritual gatherings) and meditation help awaken auspicious resolutions within the mind. When incorporated into daily life, these positive values contribute to the progress of both society and the nation.

He was addressing the Brahma Bhoj and Sneh Milan ceremony organized by Prajapita Brahmakumari University.

Acknowledging the Brahmakumari Institute’s efforts in spiritual awareness and social service, Chief Minister Sai praised its role in fostering not only spirituality but also in contributing to nation-building. He expressed special gratitude for the annual tradition of the Holy Brahma Bhoj organized by the Brahmakumari sisters for Assembly members. Senior Brahmakumari sisters, Hemlata Didi and Sarita Didi, honored Chief Minister Sai and other dignitaries with shawls, quince, and mementos.

During the event, Chief Minister Sai commended the Brahmakumari Institute’s nationwide drug de-addiction campaign, which began in Chhattisgarh. He highlighted the growing crisis of substance abuse, particularly among the youth, and its detrimental impact on health, road safety, violence, and family stability. Wishing success for the campaign, he stressed that yoga and mindfulness not only bring balance to life but also nurture a positive mindset. He expressed confidence that this initiative would inspire efforts across the nation.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh also lauded the institute’s contributions, stating that Shanti Sarovar offers deep peace and positive energy to all who visit. He emphasized that the Brahmakumari Institute goes beyond meditation and yoga, actively working towards social reform, women’s empowerment, environmental protection, and the promotion of moral values. Through education, yoga, meditation, and social service campaigns, the institute is making a significant impact not only in India but worldwide.

The event was attended by Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, cabinet ministers, MLAs, administrative officers, and other dignitaries.
